My husband and I have lived in Colorado for seven years. Our daughter, Emilia, is two years old. I miss my family back in California, but I love the Colorado sunshine and all the outdoor activities we can do here. We have two small dogs and two cats. Emilia loves the animals, and we love to take our dogs, Rawlie and Olive, for a walk. I also love camping, reading, and mystery shows.
This is my eighth year in education. Before teaching, I graduated with a BA in English and a minor in creative writing from University of Oregon. Go Ducks! After a year of working with children as an instructional paraprofessional, I knew I wanted to go back to school to be a teacher. I graduated from Colorado College with a Master of Arts in Teaching. I have previously taught first grade, and fifth grade. I love teaching second grade! At this age we are still learning to read, but transitioning to reading to learn. High Plains is an amazing community and I truly feel lucky to be here!
